Find Out More About Student Life
BSc(Hons) in Applied Computing
My name is John Ugwu, some people call me TJ, and I am a final year student in Applied Computing at LYIT. My time in LYIT has been a real journey, from taking part in societies and running a society, to now representing the college as a Student Ambassador. I’ve always been using my time at LYIT to my advantage by participating in events and joining in on all the activities that the college has to offer. I have taken part in Open Days, ran a society, recorded a promotional video for the college and even met the Minister for Education and Skills – Joe McHugh! I have had the most amazing student experience, learned valuable skills during my time and enjoyed every minute of my time at LYIT.
BA (Hons) in Business with Spanish
My name is Victoria Wilson and I am a fourth year Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business with Spanish at LYIT.
I have loved my 4 years at LYIT and as part of my programme I did a one-year Erasmus in Madrid- which was an amazing student experience. I am a Student Ambassador and also, an International Ambassador on behalf of LYIT. I have travelled to Taiwan on behalf of the institute and I have gained confidence in public speaking and have shared my student story with prospective students on behalf of LYIT. I have visited my former secondary school to share my wonderful experience at LYIT and my time at LYIT has been filled with so many amazing experiences which includes travelling to another country, volunteering and being part of many events. It has been the most amazing four years and I can honestly say that student life at LYIT is unreal!
