STUDENT SERVICES INDUCTIONS

#Fresher6 is an Extended Induction Programme. Each week is themed to support a different aspect of transitioning to higher education. Some of the weekly themes include advice on financing the third-level journey; information and advice on what to do if you'd like to transfer internally to alternative course and information on the Support Services available at LYIT.

In addition #Fresher6 has been designed to support students on both LYIT campuses and students who study remotely by utilising digital technology, social media and internal audio/visual communication platforms. #Fresher6 combines virtual and physical/on-site activities with its purpose to reach all first year students in every medium/platform available to the institution.

The Learning Support Unit at LYIT, titled the Curve, was established to encourage and support all students throughout their time at LYIT. Administration staff help students, parents and teachers with a range of practical advice. They can help with enquiries on registration, fees, grants, and exams. The admission staff organise the student registration procedures, fee collection and maintenance of student records.
